Credentials
 
The American Dental Implant Association stands for excellence in post-graduate education and clinical research. The Association also provides credentialing in implant dentistry through the Fellowship, Mastership and Diplomate certification. These certifications are awarded to members who demonstrate the highest standards in implant dentistry and who seek national recognition for their extensive training and dedication to their profession.
American Dental Implant Association Fellowship Certification
 
To substantiate your expertise in implant dentistry through a verifiable credentialing process, the American Dental Implant Association Fellowship Certification is the place to begin. The Fellowship certificate communicates to your patients that you are an experienced, dedicated and credentialed implant professional.
 
Certification Requirements
 
The Fellowship Certification is the first step in your journey to recognition for implant excellence. There are six requirements:
 
Complete 150 hours of course credits from Implant Seminars.
Pass the written Fellowship multiple choice examinatio
Pass the oral Fellowship examination.
Provide one letter of recommendation from a current American Dental Implant Association Fellow.
Submit a current curriculum vitae.
Attend the Annual Conference induction ceremony.
 
Certification Maintenance Requirements
 
American Dental Implant Association Fellows must maintain their membership in good standing by attending at least one American Dental Implant Association sponsored meeting every two years.
 
American Dental Implant Association Mastership Certification
 
The Mastership Certification is the next step in validating your implant dentistry expertise and experience
 
Certification Requirements
 
There are nine requirements for the Mastership Certification:
 
Be an active American Dental Implant Association Fellow in good standing two years.
Practice implant dentistry for at least three years.
Complete 250 hours of course credits from Implant Seminars.
Successfully pass the written Mastership multiple choice examination.
Successfully pass the oral Mastership examination.
Provide one letter of recommendation from a current American Dental Implant Association Master.
Submit a current curriculum vitae with organizational affiliations.
Submit professional and leadership credentials for review by the American Dental Implant Association Board of Directors.
Attend the Annual Conference induction ceremony.
 
Mastership Certification Maintenance Requirements
 
American Dental Implant Association Masters must maintain their membership in good standing by attending at least one American Dental Implant Association sponsored meeting every two years.
 
American Dental Implant Association Diplomate Certification
 
The Diplomate Certification is the Association’s most exclusive and recognized accomplishment.
 
Certification Requirements
 
There are nine requirements for the diplomate Certification:
 
Be an active American Dental Implant Association Master in good standing for two
  years
Practice implant dentistry for at least five years.
Complete 350 hours of course credits from Implant Seminars.
Successfully complete the American Dental Implant Association Diplomate written examination.
Successfully pass the oral examination Diplomate examination.
Provide two letters of recommendation from current American Dental Implant Association Diplomates.
Submit a current curriculum vitae.
Submit professional and leadership credentials for review by the American Dental Implant Association Board of Directors.
Author or co-author an article or case report on implant dentistry.
Attend the Annual Conference induction ceremony.
 
Diplomate Certification Maintenance Requirements
 
American Dental Implant Association Diplomates must maintain their membership in good standing by attending at least one American Dental Implant Association sponsored meeting every two years.
 
Fellowship, Mastership and Diplomate Testing and Certification Application Processes
 
Applications for the Fellowship, Mastership, Diplomate Certifications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed on a monthly basis. The application and application fee of $750 should be submitted to:

Applications are evaluated and processed by the Advanced Credentials Committee each month. At every American Dental Implant Association sponsored conference, members are presented with their appropriate credentials.
